This month’s theme is ”Musical Instruments”. While many preschoolers learn the most through hands-on activities, using musical instruments will make a difference in the way that they learn.
We brought out a collection of rhythm or percussive instruments such as egg shakers, maracas, castanets, tambourines, a triangle, a xylophone, and a gong. The children could feel the beat as they actually played the different types of musical instruments.
The children took a turn and played the xylophone.
Clicking the castanets.
Playing the triangle.
For many children, it was their first time to play the gong. After they learned what was loud and soft, all the children did a great job making the nice soft sound.
What a great sound! We listened to the violin.
Our children enjoyed shaking the egg shakers while listening to music and singing along to their favorites, “ABC Song” and “Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star”.
